Bib Gourmand: good quality, good value cooking
Small Shop
Since 1938, this household name has been hugely popular among locals for its famous Hainanese chicken rice. Now, it has three branches in Malaysia. Two kinds of chicken are offered – the pricier “veggie farm” chicken with leaner and firmer flesh, and the free-range version with fattier and softer meat. Barbecue meats, such as roast pork belly that boasts crispy skin and alternate layers of fat and lean meat, are also worth trying.
