MICHELIN Guide Seoul 2023 to be Revealed


Celebrating the 7the anniversary this year, MICHELIN Guide Seoul is hosting the ‘The Michelin Star Revelation 2023 Seoul’ on October 13th with the theme of ‘Homecoming – Celebrating Korea’ at Vista Walkerhill Seoul. The theme to rejoice the re-opening of borders, that were closed due to Pandemic, and the return to normalcy. The MICHELIN Guide Seoul has invited distinguished chefs of Korea. Not just based in Korea but also from New York, Thailand, and Singapore to spotlight the high-end of Korean cuisine during the gala dinner event.

The MICHELIN Guide Seoul 2023 will announce the best restaurants in Seoul that were fairly selected by the inspectors. The selections will include MICHELIN starred restaurants, provide excellent cuisine, the Bib Gourmand, offers good quality, good values restaurants, the MICHELIN Green Star, that commit to develop sustainable gastronomy, and last selected restaurants by MICHELIN.

The MICHELIN Guide Seoul has been releasing the list of 4 newly added restaurants ahead of the ‘The MICHELIN Guide Star Revelation 2023 Seoul’ starting June 2022. The selections were released through the MICHELN Guide Seoul official website and mobile application. The result of 16 restaurants will be announced on October 13th.

The MICHELIN Guide will award the relevant restaurants to acknowledge the talent and the devotion of the restaurants, that contributed their passion and know-how to deliver unforgettable gastronomic experience. The awards will be announced with the MICHELIN Guide’s official partners. The MICHELN Mentor Chef Award with Market Kurly, the official online grocer partner. The MICHELIN Young Chef Award with Blancpain, the Global Partner. New Award, the MICHELIN Sommelier Award with RSRV, the new Official Champagne Partner

The official partners of the MICHELIN Guide Seoul 2023 are Genesis, Blancpain, Naver, Nespresso, Market Kurly, RSRV and the event partners for 2023 are San Pellegrino, Aberlour.

The MICHELIN Guide was first published in 1900 as a culinary guidebook with information about restaurants and accommodations for the motorists. Today, the best restaurants and hotels selected under the MICHELIN Guide’s strict and fair criteria is as relevant in 2022 as it was in 1900 to the industry and the readers.

Despite the restricted mobility, the MICHELIN Guide has been continued the journey to expand the gastronomic culture by adding new cities like Dubai, Istanbul, Nara, and Estonia this year.
