The most family-friendly of the Shamwari lodges in the private game reserve of the same name, Shamwari Riverdene doesn’t just throw in a couple of bunk beds and call it a job well done — it’s got an extensive Kids on Safari program, including ziplines, climbing walls, and treehouses connected by walkways, all supervised and all designed to keep the kids active while you relax. And on top of that, it’s as luxurious as any safari lodge, and its nine plush, air-conditioned rooms, with their lavish bathrooms and Nespresso machines, can be connected for parties of just about any size.
